Awesome multiple language translator ！
Looking for long time I wanted to have such a translation device because I really have some accent or use for sometime a translator was needed. I'm reviewing it because I think I have finally found one I like. I used it to translate English to Japanese, I hope my review is helpful regardless of languages involved. Frist, most translators can only connect to through WiFi and mobile hotspot, but the best thing about this translator is having a 4G functions as a added feature. That’s why I choose this type of connection. And it’s easy to use. It’s a simple, dedicated device that so far has given me accurate translations, and it is very fast. The voice is very clear and easy to understand. This voice translator is slim and fits in your pocket like a cell phone would. smaller than most phones. And the controls are intuitive and easy to maneuver and use. it's definitely a plus to have a touch screen on the device itself. You can carry it to every where. More importent is about this product is the company is amazing to work with. They reply back to your emails quick with any questions. They emailed me and helped me get this all set up and ready to use, and even went above and beyond and researched my phone and told me how to connect to this to a mobile hot spot. They are great to help out!!! I actually like this translator device a lot better than I thought would. Overall I pretty satisfied with this product and think it will be a great product to have as I travel and even go to work.

Great personal translator
Purchased this item for my old man who doesn’t speak a word of English. After one solid week of usage, I can only speak for this item’s English version of translation is definitely acceptable and we feel like it’s better than google translate. The downside of the item is that it must have data or WiFi in order to run the unit. Therefore, my dad must carry around this unit and linked into his hotspot in order to help him communicate with others. Overall, I think the battery life is great ( haven’t even charge since received) he is been using it 6-7 hours a day even it’s standby mode. The unit is silk and about IPhone size. The translation time is about 3-5 seconds.

Received it one week! This is such a simple yet incredible piece of technology. This unit itself is sleek, compact, well-built, and sturdy to hold. It is easy and very convenient to use with only one button to processe the translation. After entering WiFi password, it automatically connected to the Internet. And I tested it with my friends from another contries, it translated fast and accurate as well.To be honest, this translator is much better than I expected. And I don't have to worry about the language barries while traveling abroad this year! I have been working for the last couple of years across Greece, Serbia and Bosnia in the refugee crisis with our charity Indigo Volunteers. One of the biggest challenges we face is not being able to communicate with service users. This leads to misunderstandings, time delays, and a lot of frustration for both sides. With this Birgus translator device, people will feel heard and we will understand their needs so much better, which will lead to a better experience for everyone involved. I am also usually not great with technology, but this is so easy to navigate and the touch screen makes it almost like using a smartphone. I really recommend this to anyone who would find it helpful to communicate with people using different languages to their own, whether it be in a professional or personal setting 😊

i bought this for my parents !
I bought this translator for my parents. They will go to Japan for a several days. But they can't speak any Japanese. I found this device on amazon. I think it's a smart product . It has built in WIFI. I tried it several times when I just bought it, it is very useful. Hope my mom and dad can enjoy this holiday without language trouble.

I have tested a few of the translator . This is one of the best ! The quality of external is just like the iphone glass finish. The user manual is easy to play with. All you need is to select the target language and mother language in order to translate. The final step the system will speak it. I check with my japanese and korean friends and they agree the grammer is perfect on this device. Not like other device it still got some errors. I visit japan very often for business, sometimes when they can't understand you, it's very important to deliver the message right away and you wont have to worry about they cant unstand you. Cons: The only thing i dont like about this package is the poor contain ! You only get a Charge cable only !!! NO USB charger ! No leather case ! This device is great but why not make it 100%? why missing so many accessary? I enjoy having this and will show it to my friends.

Connecting Family and Friends
This is such a wonderful device. My mom is Vietnamese, my dad is Chinese, my mother in law is Japanese and father in law is American. We always have a language barrier, but this device improves our communication beyond other things that I have tried. I tried some iPhone translator apps, but they have been extremely slow. This device translation is very fast and accurate. The buttons are placed very strategically to where it's easy to switch from one language to another. It's very small and light so I carry it around wherever I go. If this device, I can now travel the world without being afraid of having language barier.

Install Flash Player As someone who has travelled to many countries around the world, languages have never been one of my strong points. I have tried many apps and portable translators, but have always found them slow, difficult to use, and/or with a low accuracy level. Chinese Mandarin is one of the most difficult with even experienced human translators making frequent mistakes. The Birgus Translator fits comfortably in my hand with the controls in easy to reach positions. It is heavier than my phone, but still comfortable. I appreciate the solid build quality especially when handing it back and forth between people during a conversation. It would be nice if a carrying case was included. The screen is only half the size of the front, but it is clear and easy to read. The brightness cannot be adjusted, but is good for most situations. All the buttons are the right size for an average hand and easy to use without looking. The audio is clear and easy to hear in a quiet room or office, but not loud enough for noisy outdoor environments. There is no headphone jack, but that is understandable since it is designed for use in a conversational situation. The Birgus requires internet access to translate. It supports WiFi access and can access any basic WiFi AP with a password. If the Access Point requires authentication through a web page, the Birgus cannot use it as it does not have an internet browser. I use the WiFi to connect to a Hotspot on my mobile phone so I can use the phone’s mobile internet and that works very well on my iPhone. The Translator supports many languages. Mandarin, Cantonese, French, German, and Japanese are the ones I use the most. So far, my experience shows a greater than 90% accuracy. Much higher than any of the apps or portable translators that I have used in the past. This is high enough for me to have the confidence to use it without being with someone to confirm I’m not saying the wrong thing. Most apps or online translators are designed for one-way translation, so they don’t work well in real-world situations. And a few two-way translator devices that I used previously did not work well or accurately. The Birgus is easy to use and designed for 2-way conversations. The accuracy level is good. It will certainly make language less of an issue in my future travels.

this is the best investment made on translator device. I was unsure on traveling to canada or not next summer. But with this translator im definitely going with my friends. With this device I can travel like a local resident in Korean. Its arrived easier than estimated delivery day. I tried it with my Mexico friend and he understood every word that was being translated from this device. I actually talked her into buying one for herself for our next canada trips, lol. There is so many different languages thats being offer on one small device. The setup were easy. ALL you need if WIFI. I can travel anywhere with this device and there wont be any language barrier. I Highly recommend getting one for anyone who is traveling.
